THE FLATS – Junior outfielder Jake DeLeo (Norwalk, Conn./Avon Old Farms School) was named Collegiate Baseball’s National Player of the Week for hitting .417 with three home runs to help Georgia Tech baseball sweep Miami (Ohio) on Opening Weekend. He accounted for 12 of the Yellow Jackets’ 36 runs over the three games.
DeLeo also slugged 1.250 with a double to accent his three-homer weekend, driving in six runs to pair with six runs of his own crossing the plate. Reaching base at a .500 clip, he only struck out once in 12 at-bats making the weekend all the more impressive.

Limited to just 30 games last season, DeLeo made the most in his opening weekend now that he’s back in the starting lineup. His three home runs this weekend, give him seven for his career and all already more than he had in a single-season in 2021 or 2022.
.@Jake_deleo, good at baseball.
