The Georgia Tech baseball team begins the 2011 season Friday, Feb. 18 when it opens a three-game series with Kent State. With seventeen newcomers on the 2011 team, RamblinWreck.com will hold a Q&A everyday until opening day in the “Countdown to first pitch” series.

RW.com: Why did you choose Georgia Tech?
KW: It’s a great academic school as well as one of the most highly recognized baseball teams in America.
RW.com: What is the best piece of advice that a coach gave you?
KW: Use your speed in every aspect of the game, because it changes the game.
RW.com: What event has most shaped your life?
KW: I think believing in Christ as my savior has been the biggest event that has shaped my life.
RW.com: What player, if any, do you pattern your game after?
KW: Jacoby Ellsbury
RW.com: Do you have any game or practice superstitions?
KW: Never step on the foul line before the game.
RW.com: What’s your nickname? Reasoning behind it?
KW: Well some of the coaches have been calling me Wrenner, no Idea what the reasoning is behind it.
RW.com: What is your favorite Georgia Tech tradition?
KW: Playing UGA in any sport, there is nothing better.
