PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – Christy Striplin advanced to Sunday’s semifinals with a pair of singles victories on the second day of competition in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic, which is being contested at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Palm Springs, Calif.

Striplin posted a 5-7, 6-0, 6-2 victory over USC’s Sarah Fansler in her first singles match of the day and advanced to Sunday’s semifinal match against UCLA’s Yasmin Schnack with a 6-3, 6-1 win against Southern Cal’s Dianne Matias in the quarterfinals.
