Chioma Nnamaka Wins Three-Point Shooting Contest

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Georgia Tech senior guard Chioma Nnamaka scored 18 points in both the semifinal and final rounds to win the women’s three-point shooting contest Thursday evening in the 20th Annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at the Greehey Arena on the St. Mary’s University campus in San Antonio, Texas.

The Uppsala, Sweden native reached the finals after scoring the most points in the semifinal round. Going up against Marscilla Packer of Ohio State in the finals, Nnamaka outscored her counterpart from the Big Ten, 18-15, to earn the victory.

Last season, Mario West won the men’s slam dunk competition at the Georgia State Sports Arena.
