HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – The Yellow Jackets’ Matt Casillas made it three-for-three on Sunday, as he placed fourth overall in the platform dive at the preliminary meet in Huntersville, N.C. to qualify for the 2017 USA Diving Senior Nationals event in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform dives.

Casillas finished fourth overall in the platform dive with a score of 282.25. With his top five finish, the rising junior earned a spot in the platform dive at the senior nationals diving event in August.

With his strong week at the 2017 USA Diving National Preliminary Zone A Championships this week in North Carolina, Casillas earned a spot in all three diving events, recording a sixth-place finish in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives earlier this week.

The 2017 USA Diving National Championships will take place from July 29-August 12 in Columbus, Ohio.
