In week three, Buzz took cues from the Yellow Jackets football squad to move to a perfect 3-0 in the Capital One Mascot Challenge after taking down The Duck from Oregon.

Unlike the Jackets, Buzz just narrowly edged out The Duck by less than 6,000 votes to take the victory.

How is 6,000 votes a narrow win?

Well, the Georgia Tech fans helped Buzz to garner over 200,000 votes for the first time this season. 6,000 votes doesn’t seem like a lot now, huh?

Buzz is hoping that this same intensity will be brought into week four.

“I am still in awe over how much the Georgia Tech fans out there have voted for me this season,” said Buzz. “Their passion is so evident week in and week out at the athletic events on campus, and now I get to see it first hand by all of the votes that they have cast for me week-to-week.”

This week, Buzz will take on Brutus from THE Ohio State University. Brutus is 2-1 heading into the meeting and is coming off of a win over Mike the Tiger from LSU.

But Brutus just doesn’t have the same fan base that Buzz does as he has only totaled 138,000 votes…

… over the last THREE weeks.

Week one Brutus took down Testudo of Maryland netting just 14,500 votes, lost to Wolfie, Jr. out of the University of Nevada and then beat Mike the Tiger.

That doesn’t mean Tech fans should take a week off this week! Remember the vote total matters at the end of the 12 Week competition!

Now the reasons why you should vote for Buzz and NOT Brutus:
1. 17th ranked Ohio State just headed to Miami – and got demolished 24-6; Georgia Tech hosted Big 12 opponent Kansas and demolished them 66-24.
2. Buzz has tallied over 475,000 votes in just three weeks and over 200,000 this week; Ohio State has 138,000 total.
3. Have you SEEN Brutus’ shirt? Those horizontal stripes are not flattering.
