THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis signee Kylie Bilchev put together an impressive performance at the 2021 Wimbledon Juniors, advancing to the third round in the girls’ singles draw.
The United Kingdom native defeated Bianca Behulova of Slovakia in the first round, 6-0, 5-7, 6-1, before cruising past Elizabeth Coleman (USA) in straight-sets, 6-1, 6-2, in just over an hour in second round action.
Bilchev faced Ane Mintegi Del Olmo (Spain) in the third round, falling in a two-plus hour battle in three sets. After dropping the first set, 6-2, Bilchev responded taking the second, 6-4, but couldn’t hold on, dropping the final set, 6-3.
She also partnered with Mingge Xu in girls’ doubles, advancing to the second round.
