Perfect Game/Rawlings Preseason All-America Team

THE FLATS – The preseason accolades continue to roll in for Georgia Tech junior catcher Joey Bart, as the third-year Jacket was named to the 2018 Perfect Game/Rawlings preseason all-America team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Bart, who was also named to the Collegiate Baseball 2018 preseason all-America third team, is one of 17 players named to the PG all-America team.

A 2017 Johnny Bench award semifinalist, an ABCA/Rawlings all-region second team selection and an all-ACC second team honor last year as a sophomore, Bart played and started in 44 games on the year last season, missing the last 11 games of the season due to a hand injury. Bart hit .296 with a team-high 13 home runs and 43 RBIs on the season. He also totaled 55 base hits, including 13 doubles, and scored 36 runs.
