Yellow Jackets Sign Robert Bauer

THE FLATS Robert Bauer has officially committed to play tennis at Georgia Tech. Bauer is a five-star recruit and the brother of former Tech men’s tennis player Zummy Bauer.

Robert Bauer is the No. 1 ranked player in Georgia. He has reached as high as 51 nationally.

Bauer comes to the Flats with two wins over blue-chip recruits and nine wins over five-star recruits. He recently competed at the 2021 ITF J4 Atlanta Tennis Tournament, reaching the quarterfinals.

“We are excited to continue to get some of the best players in Georgia. Robert is an exceptional young man who will represent Georgia Tech well. He has improved a lot over the last two years, so we are excited about his contribution to our program’s future,” Byer’s Men’s Tennis Head Coach Kenny Thorne said.
