Women's Soccer Drops Close One to Falcons

ST. LOUIS (Oct. 1) — The Navy women’s soccer team fell to Air Force on Friday, as the Falcons’ Billie Rothwell found the back of the net at the 85:30 mark for the game winner.

The Navy Midshipmen were up 1-0 at the halftime break as sophomore Justine Fisher connected on a penalty kick at 32:21. In the first half, two crucial parts of the Navy offense went down with injuries. The second half was a different story as the Falcons scoring two goals, the first one came at 67:40 and Rothwell notching the game winner.

Before tonight’s game, the women raised $2,075 for the local Marine Corps Toys for Tots program by bringing toys to the local children’s hospital.
