Wimbush Featured on Falcons Face to Face

Former Georgia Tech football standout Recardo Wimbush, now in training camp with the Atlanta Falcons will be featured on this week’s edition of the Falcons Face to Face television program, airing Sunday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. on WXIA-TV (Channel 11) in Atlanta.

Wimbush, a native of Blakely, Ga., was a four-year starter at linebacker for the Yellow Jackets from 1999-2002. He recorded 375 career tackles and earned second-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a senior. He was named a team captain for Tech’s 2002 squad.

Wimbush is trying to make the Falcons roster as an undrafted free agent.

Tech fans are invited to attend the taping of Falcons Face to Face and sit in the studio audience Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at the ESPN Zone in Buckhead.

In addition to the Sunday timeslot on WXIA, the show will re-air several times next week on CSS.
