Williams Named ACC Women's Track Performer of the Month

THE FLATS – The Atlanta Coast Conference honored Georgia Tech track and field student-athlete, Jeanine Williams, as she was named the ACC Women’s Track Performer of the Month, the league announced Wednesday.

A two-time All-American last year and the reigning ACC Champion in the 60m hurdles, Williams opened the 2018-19 indoor season with a bang, turning in a nation-leading time of 8.25 in the 60m hurdles at the BSC Icebreaker on Nov. 30, finishing first in finals. Williams also finished first in prelims with a time of 8.40 to start the impressive day, before garnering her first victory of the year.

The Yellow Jackets will have a brief break for the holidays before returning to action on Jan. 11 when they travel to Clemson, S.C. for the Clemson Invitational.
