We'll Catch Up With Football This Week

April 10, 2011

I’ve been away for awhile now, but while out of town for more than a week, I kept my ear to the tracks and I sensed rumbling.

A good many of you have been deprived of your Georgia Tech spring football fix for reasons that have nothing to do with you.

The Macon Telegraph beat writer has moved on to another paper, and word has it that he will not be replaced – at least not on a permanent basis. The AJC committed most of its staff to covering the Masters this week (although UGA’s beat writer remained in Athens — editor’s note), and that has left a shortage of media covering the Yellow Jackets as they go about their offseason due diligence.

So what do you want to know?

I’ll be around quite a bit this week as the Jackets gear toward another Saturday scrimmage, and I’ll ask (most of) what you want me to ask. I’ll do due diligence for you if only you’ll provide a little direction.

Send me topics, and I’ll put together two or three football “notebooks” and/or stories this week to try to catch everybody back up.
