Volleyball Sweeps Florida International

Jayme Gergen recorded a career high 12 kills and five block assists as the Georgia Tech volleyball team defeated Florida International 30-14, 30-20, 30-26. With the win, the Yellow Jackets improve to 13-2 while the Golden Panthers fall to 4-8.

The Yellow Jackets outhit the Panthers .414 to .192 behind the hitting of Lynnette Moster who had 14 kills, followed by Alexandra Preiss who notched 11. Defensively, Tech was led by Moster who had eight digs, followed by Keight Vincent who notched six. Kele Eveland led the offense with 37 assists and seven digs.

Adriana Fundora led the Panthers as she tallied a team-high 14 kills and nine digs.

Georgia Tech returns to action Saturday at 7:30 against Cornell (4-2) in the final match of the Georgia Tech Invitational.
