Twice As Nice: Freeman Adds Two More Honors

Dec. 16, 2014

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech freshman defensive end KeShun Freeman has added two more Freshman All-American honors to his list Tuesday. Freeman was named to both the USA TODAY Freshman All-America Team and ESPN True Freshman All-America Team.

Last week, Freeman was one of 27 players named to the 2014 True Freshman All-America Team by 247Sports.

Freeman was one of three ACC players named to ESPN’s True Freshman team, and one of five ACC players named to USA TODAY’s team.

The LaGrange, Ga., product recorded 51 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss (35 yards), 4.5 sacks (23 yards), one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in 13 games (11 starts). Freeman led all ACC freshmen in both TFL and sacks.

Freeman was one of four Yellow Jackets that teamed up to block six kicks – tied for the nation’s lead heading into the bowls.

No. 12 Georgia Tech faces No. 7 Mississippi State (10-2) in the 2014 Capital One Orange Bowl on New Year’s Eve in Miami. The game kicks at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN at Sun Life Stadium.
