Trilisky Named Academic All-District

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech men’s track and field and cross country distance runner Nazar Trilisky was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District III second team.

The ESPN Academic All-District teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Trilisky, a junior from Snellville, Ga., was the second Jacket competitor to finish at all five cross country races entered in 2006. He placed 60th in the 8K race at the Atlantic Coast Conference Cross Country Championships with a time of 26:25.

This season in track, Trilisky recorded the second fastest 3000-meter time on the team by crossing the line in 8:43.33 at the 2007 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships. He finished with a team-best time of 15:10.30 in the 5000-meter run at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The Academic All-ACC selection maintains a 3.92 GPA in computer engineering.
