Track Splits For Cupid And Husky Classics

THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech track and field team splits up this weekend to compete in the Cupid Classic in Birmingham, Ala. on Friday and the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. on Friday and Saturday.

Action in Birmingham begins at 11 a.m. CT as 45 colleges and universities are scheduled to compete in the meet.

Seven athletes travel to Seattle with Katie Townsend and Patrick Barron kicking things off in the 5,000 meters Friday at 7:10 PT. Brandon Lasater, Zack Fanelty, Nat Estes, Cole Jackob and Jeremy Greenwald run Saturday, starting at 11:15 a.m. PT.

The Yellow Jackets recently competed at the Samford Invite, where they logged four first-place finishes. Julienne McKee took first in two events, winning the long and triple jumps. Nikita Kirillov won the pole vault and Broderick Snoddy took first in the 60 meters.
