Aug. 19, 2015

THE FLATS – Havoline Football Saturdays, an Emmy Award-winning summer television series brings its 12th season to a close Saturday, and included in the episode is a feature on Justin Thomas’ path to Georgia Tech. The show airs locally on WATL (MyTV) at 9 p.m. ET

This week’s show features Thomas, a star player out of Prattville High School in Alabama, that seemed destined for a career at the University of Alabama. He led his high school team to the state title and was heavily recruited by the Crimson Tide and Florida State. The young man whose middle name is Bryant, after the legendary Crimson Tide coach, committed to Alabama. But after talks of a position change, he de-committed and signed with Georgia Tech and never looked back. See how that decision was the best for both Thomas and the Yellow Jackets.

The series, with six one-hour episodes, is hosted by Tim Brando and syndicated in over 100 markets throughout the country.
