ATLANTA – Georgia Tech head softball coach Kate Madden will discuss the upcoming Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship Monday at 6:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Net’s ACC Live with host Mike Hogwood.
The 2002 ACC Coach of the Year, Madden has guided the Jackets to a 35-21 record and the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, which opens Friday at the Seminole Softball Complex in Tallahassee, Fla. Tech will face second-seeded North Carolina at 5 p.m. in the opening round. The Jackets captured their first-ever ACC crown last season.
No. 12 Florida State owns the tourney’s top seed with an 8-0 conference mark, while fourth-seeded Virginia and No. 5 seed Maryland round out the field. Fox Sports Net will broadcast the title game of the event Sunday.
