Tech Trio Helps Giants to Title

Georgia Tech was well represented at Super Bowl XLII as Michael Matthews, James Butler and Gerris Wilkinson helped the New York Giants to a 17-14 upset of the New England Patriots on Sunday evening in Glendale, Ariz.

Butler led the Giants defense with 10 tackles (nine solo, one assisted) from his position at safety. Wilkinson also assisted on a tackle on kickoff coverage. Matthews utilized his blocking skills from the tight end position as a part of the Giants’ rushing game.
