Tech Track Back In Lexington At Rod McCravy Invite

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams will return to the track when they head back to Lexington, Ky. for the Rod McCravy Invitational held at Nutter Field House. The meet will begin on Friday, January 27 and will conclude on Saturday, January 28.

Last time out, the Yellow Jackets also competed in the Nutter Field House at the Kentucky Invitational.

On the men’s side Perron Jones broke the school record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.77 seconds and Shawn Roberts took home the victory in the 3,000 meter run.

On the women’s side Julienne McKee shone in three different events bringing home second in the long jump, third in the triple jump and 11th in the 200 meter dash.

Also joining the Yellow Jackets at the meet are the Bellarmine, Central Florida, Miami (Ohio), Ohio State and Vanderbilt women, as well as both the men’s and women’s teams from Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Kentucky, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky.

Competition Friday begins at 6 p.m. ET with four different field events kicking things off. Saturday’s competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. The two-day event is free to the public and live stats will be available at UKathletics.com.
