Tech to Begin Taking CWS Ticket Orders Monday

June 9, 2002

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech will begin taking orders for its ticket allotment to the College World Series at 9 a.m. Monday, June 10. The Yellow Jackets, who have advanced to the CWS for the second time in their history, begin play Friday or Saturday against South Carolina at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.

First-round game times (there are two games each Friday and Saturday) and the tournament bracket will be announced by the NCAA at 3 p.m. Eastern time Monday.

Tech will receive a participating team ticket allotment for each game in which the Yellow Jackets play during the College World Series, and season ticket holders and fans may call the GTAA Ticket Office at 888-TECH-TIX to request tickets for these sessions. Tickets are $16 each and are for reserved seating at Rosenblatt Stadium, and orders will be filled on a priority basis.

Georgia Tech will not sell tickets to games not involving the Yellow Jackets, and the tickets not allocated to the participating teams are sold out.
