Tech Sweeps Pitt in ACC Series

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (27-19, 8-7 ACC) swept the doubleheader on Saturday to secure the series sweep of Pittsburgh (7-36, 2-13 ACC). Tech took the first game 6-4 before scoring 18 unanswered runs in the second game to overcome a 9-0 deficit for the 18-9 run-rule win in the sixth.

A walk-off grand slam from sophomore Cameron Stanford secured the run rule win and series sweep for the Jackets.

Tech is back on the road, heading to No. 13/19 Georgia for a midweek rivalry game on Wednesday, April 17. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on SEC Network.
