GREENSBORO, NC (March 20) – For the second time this season, senior catcher Anne Knobbe (Brea, Calif.) earned Atlantic Coast Player of the Week honors. Knobbe turned in an outstanding week on the field as she helped lead the Yellow Jackets to three victories. She went 8-for-12 in four games, including five home runs, for an average of .667. She opened the week in fine fashion, as she went 2-for-4 in the Jackets’ 10-3 victory over Indiana. In that game, Knobbe hit her first home run of the week and drove in three runs. Later in the week, Knobbe went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate in Tech’s 6-4 win over Samford, as she belted her fourth homer of the week, and scored two runs in the contest.
