Tech Netters Off to Miami for Clash with the Canes Saturday

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team will travel to Miami Saturday for a 12 p.m. match at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables, Fla.

The Jackets (5-4) are coming off a 4-3 victory over Clemson to open Atlantic Coast Conference play on Wednesday. Sophomore Guillermo Gomez clinched the match for Tech with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 win over the Tigers’ Carlos Alvarez.

Tech lost to Miami in last season’s matchup at the Bill Moore Tennis Center, 5-2. The Jackets will look for their first win over the Canes since the 2005 season.
