Tech Gears Up for Gold/White Scrimmage

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech volleyball is set to host its annual Gold/White Scrimmage on Sunday at 4 p.m. in O’Keefe Gymnasium.

Admission to the scrimmage is free, and doors open at 3 p.m. Parking will be available starting two hours prior to match time in the McCamish Lot, along Eighth St. and on Fowler St. between Eighth St. and 10th St. A team autograph session will follow the match.

The scrimmage provides fans with a first look at the 2023 squad, headlined by Tech’s 13 returners from the 2022 campaign. Preseason all-ACC selections in outside hitter Bianca Bertolino and setter Bella D’Amico lead the incumbents, who will be joined by eight highly touted new Yellow Jackets. Soon to don the White and Gold for the first time will be three transfers and four freshmen, three of which are international.

Georgia Tech will next host an exhibition match against Auburn (Aug. 19) on The Flats. Following three straight road trips to open the regular season, the Jackets will make their official home debut hosting the Georgia Tech Classic. They’ll begin home competition with Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate against Georgia in McCamish Pavilion, presented by Delta (Sept. 15), then take on Howard (Sept. 16) and San Diego (Sept. 17) in O’Keefe Gymnasium.
