Tech Falls to Jacksonville State

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball’s (14-7) eight-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday, falling to Jacksonville State (9-4) 4-3 at Mewborn Field.

In the bottom of the second, junior Rebecca Prairie drives in sophomore Skye Webb on an infield single. Sophomore Breanna Roper brings in two more, sophomore Cameron Stanford and Prairie, on a double to push Tech’s lead to 3-0.

Junior pitcher Morgan Bruce finished the day with 11 strikeouts, a career-high in a Yellow Jacket uniform.

Up next:
The Yellow Jackets get ready for some Clean Old-Fashioned Hate, hosting in-state rival Georgia for a whiteout game on Wednesday, March 6. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
