Tech Encouraging Fans to Arrive Early for UNC Game

Oct. 31, 2001

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech Athletic Association encourages its fans to arrive a little early to Thursday night’s nationally televised game with North Carolina (ESPN, 7:35 p.m. kickoff). To facilitate this process, Tech is opening the gates of Bobby Dodd Stadium 15 minutes early at 5:45 p.m.

The GTAA appeals to ticket holders to refrain from bringing bags of any kind to the stadium. If it is absolutely necessary for anyone attending the game to bring any kind of bag or container, please expect it to be searched and allow extra time to get to your seats. Please also be prepared to carry the bag back to your car.

All gates will have extra security to assist fans entering the stadium, and more uniformed and non-uniformed officers will patrol the inside of the stadium.

The Athletic Association asks all fans to assist in making Thursday night’s event a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
