AUBURN, Ala. – Georgia Tech had a total of four divers compete in the platform diving events on the final day of the 2017 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Wednesday at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center at Auburn University.
In the men’s platform dive, the Jackets’ Matt Casillas recorded a score of 311.70 points in the preliminary round to advance to the finals, while fellow Tech diver Nolan Mallet posted a score of 254.05 in the prelims.
In the finals, Casillas finished with a score of 640.25 to place 12th overall for the event.
In the women’s platform event, Madison Young earned a score of 239.10 in the preliminaries to move on the finals, while Carly Doi turned in a prelims score of 179.25.
Young ended the finals with a score of 446.85 to place 14th overall in her final intercollegiate diving event.
