Tashard Choice's Surgery Successful

Oct. 23, 2007

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech senior running back Tashard Choice underwent successful surgery this morning on his right knee that was injured in last Saturday’s game against Army.

There is a possibility that Choice could return to action for the final two or three games of the regular season, head coach Chan Gailey said today.

Georgia Tech has an open date this week. Choice will not play in the Yellow Jackets’ next game, November 1 against 8th-ranked Virginia Tech.

Following the Virginia Tech game, Georgia Tech will have three regular season games remaining: Nov. 10 at Duke; Nov. 17 vs. North Carolina; Nov. 24 vs. Georgia.

Choice (108 yards rushing per game) leads the ACC in rushing for the second straight season.
