Swim-Dive Preps for Florida State

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech Swimming and Diving takes part in its first meet against an NCAA foe when it faces ACC opponent Florida State on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the McAuley Aquatic Center.

The event will start at 11 a.m. It will be the first regular season meet of the 2021-2022 campaign for the Yellow Jackets at McAuley Aquatic Center. It is a Pink Out and the first 200 fans will receive a free pink shirt.

The men’s sides for Georgia Tech and Florida State are both ranked nationally coming in at 19 and 15, respectively. Florida State’s women team received votes in the CSCAA Division I Poll.

The White and Gold come off a sound win against the SCAD Bees in Savannah, Ga. The men’s team won their match 106-23 and the women’s team won their match 108-23.

Georgia Tech swimming and Diving boasts four 2020 Tokyo Olympians in Batur Ünlü (Turkey), Berke Saka (Turkey), Caio Pumputis (Brazil) and Defne Tacyildiz (Turkey). Tacyildiz has already cracked the Georgia Tech record books with the eighth best time in program history in the 200 fly.
