Sumrow Earns Honors at ACC Softball Tournament

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 4) – Heather Sumrow (Humble, Texas), starting leftfielder for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets earned all-tournament honors for her performace at the 2000 Atlantic Coast Conference softball tournament last weekend. The senior batted .500 for the weekend, compiling four hits, scoring a run, and recording a sacrifice hit. A key defender all-season for the Jackets, Sumrow also recorded four putouts in left field.

Georgia Tech completed their season with a 25-33 record, falling to Virginia, 7-6 and Maryland, 2-1 in the tournament.
