T.J. Stricklin was named Georgia Tech Athletics’ social media manager in October 2023. Prior to his current role, he served as Tech’s assistant director of communications and public relations, assuming the responsibilities of primary communications contact for the Yellow Jackets’ volleyball and softball programs beginning in February 2021.
Before arriving on The Flats, Stricklin served as an athletic communications associate with UAB from March 2019-May 2020. With the Blazers, Stricklin served as primary contact for baseball, volleyball, cross country and track and field as well as secondary football contact. Stricklin also handled primary softball contact responsibilities during the 2019 season before transitioning to baseball prior to the 2020 season.
Following graduation from Auburn University in 2018, Stricklin served as communications intern with Fresno State Athletics from August 2018-February 2019. For the ‘Dogs, Stricklin held responsibilities as primary contact for men’s golf, women’s tennis and lacrosse as well as secondary women’s basketball contact.
Stricklin received his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Auburn, where he interned in the athletic communications department with Auburn Athletics from August 2015-June 2018. Stricklin also interned with the Columbus Cottonmouths, a former member of the Southern Professional Hockey League now known as the Birmingham Bulls, throughout the 2014-15 season.
In his spare time, Stricklin enjoys downing inordinate amounts of food in one sitting to combat his questionable eating habits.
