Makenzie Maring joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in June 2025 as a graphic designer in the creative and digital strategy department.
Maring comes to The Flats after serving as a creative intern with Kansas State athletics, where she supported the development of visual content across the Wildcats’ varsity programs. In this role, she produced graphics for gamedays, recruiting and social media, helping to drive engagement and maintain brand consistency across all platforms.
In addition to her design responsibilities at Kansas State, she also contributed to the planning and execution of social media strategies, including writing captions, scheduling posts and monitoring performance. Her work supported campaigns for events like Big 12 Football media day and postseason features for K-State’s baseball and golf programs.
A native of Salina, Kansas, Maring earned her bachelor’s degree in strategic communications from Kansas State in 2025 with minors in marketing and graphic design. She also completed a certificate in social media management.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active, keeping up with pop culture trends and spending quality time with friends and family.
