Christine Ackerman rejoined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association as senior human resources consultant in January 2024.
In her role, Ackerman advises assigned units within Georgia Tech athletics on applicable policies, supports recruitment efforts, advises unit leadership on talent management and consults with employees on all general human resources related matters.
Ackerman has over 10 years of experience working in Division I intercollegiate athletics at Penn State, Florida and Georgia Tech, working within academics, life skills, compliance, football operations, football recruiting and human resources. She has comprehensive experience in human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, data management and reporting.
Ackerman earned bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and recreation, park, and tourism management from Penn State and a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Florida. She is a certified human resources professional with the Society of Human Resource Management.
