Dr. Chartice Wyatt-Thermil arrived on The Flats in December 2023 and currently serves as the assistant athletic director for academic services.
Dr. Wyatt-Thermil comes to Georgia Tech after serving as the assistant director for academic support at the University of Mississippi from 2022-23. While at Ole Miss, she worked the with women’s basketball, women’s tennis, men’s tennis and track and field programs. Dr. Wyatt-Thermil brings a wealth of experience also having served as the director of the Kathryn Hughes Seaber Raiders Academic Center for student-athletes at Shippensburg University from 2020-21, working with multiple athletic teams. From 2018-2020, she worked as a student success specialist for Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
Dr. Wyatt-Thermil earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2015 from Robert Morris University. She earned a master’s degree in exercise science (emphasis in sport’s studies) in 2016 and doctorate degree in education administration and leadership in 2021, both from IUP. She also completed a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida in 2021.
Dr. Wyatt-Thermil has been a member of Women Leaders in College Sports since 2017, serves on the Membership Committee and is a 2021 graduate of the Institute for Administration Advancement. She has been a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) and Minority Opportunities Athletics Association (MOAA) since 2017.
Originally from Johnstown, Pa., Wyatt-Thermil and her husband, Ryan, have one son, Rian, and one daughter, Amina.
