Anthony Brandt was named assistant director of athletic communications and public relations at Georgia Tech in October 2023. He serves as the primary contact for the baseball program as well as secondary contact for football.

Prior to arriving to The Flats, Brandt served as the media contact and director of external relations for Pitt volleyball during the 2022 season, leading all communications and social media for the 2022 Final Four run. He grew the program’s social media platforms by over 180,000 impressions over the 2021 Final Four season, the sixth highest rise in the nation. Brandt acted as the team’s road photographer and helped coordinate a campaign that led to the highest attended conference volleyball match in program history, inside Petersen Events Center.

Before Pitt, Brandt was the volleyball, beach volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis contact at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas from 2019-2022. He worked with the TCU men’s tennis team throughout its 2022 ITA Indoor National Championship run, including promoting and coordinating media interviews for the coaches/players during alumnus Cam Norrie’s semifinal run at 2022 Wimbledon and ATP Finals. Completed three volleyball seasons ranked as a Top 35 social media according to skullsparks despite a 24-53 record on the court.

Brandt began his collegiate athletics career at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he was the primary media contact for UIW volleyball, cross country, women’s basketball, softball and track & field while also working with the football, men’s basketball and baseball programs. He grew all five primary sports’ Instagram accounts by at least 85 percent including a 200 percent growth with the Track & Field program.

Upon graduating from Mizzou, Brandt started working at the Women’s Tennis Association where he served as a PR & communications assistant, developing match notes for professional tournaments all around the world.

A native of Dallas, Brandt graduated from the University of Missouri in 2017 with a bachelors in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications and public relations along with a minor in business and a multicultural certificate. He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and lives in West Midtown.
