General Info: Solid all-around player who brought a lot of international experience to the tennis court … Younger brother of former member of the men[apos]s tennis team, Jose Muguruza … Worked his way into regular duty as a junior, playing mostly at No. 4, played in just 11 matches as a senior.

2010-11: Struggled to gain a spot in the lineup, getting an opportunity at No. 6 in the final weekend of the regular season (lost to Virginia) and in ACC Tournament matches against Miami and Virginia … Played four matches at No. 3 doubles (3-1 record), one with Juan Spir, three with Kevin King.

2009-10: Solid spring campaign, posting a 11-9 dual record, 5-4 in the ACC, playing the majority of his matches at No. 4 singles (7-9) … Was 4-0 when playing at other spots in the lineup … High point was his clinching victory over Virginia Tech[apos]s Patrick Daciek in the team[apos]s final regular season match, which earned Tech a first-round bye in the ACC Championship … Lost both of his ACC Tournament matches and went 1-1 in the NCAA Regional.
