(coach Terrance Banks) … Was voted team captain in his only season of prep football … High-school teammate and co-captain with fellow Georgia Tech teammate Jaquan Henderson … Outstanding athlete was a four-year basketball letterwinner as a power forward/center … Earned all-region honors as a junior and all-county recognition as a senior on the hardcourt … Helped lead Newton’s boys basketball team to back-to-back region championships as a junior (2015-16) and senior (2016-17) … Terrific student finished in top 10 of his class of 500 academically.
