As A Senior In 2011-12: Recorded a career-best 100 free time at the Virginia Tech Invitational in his final career swim… After posted a 48.18 in the prelims, shaved nearly one record off that time in the finals with a time of 47.20 that was good for 10th place… Also put down a season-best 100 fly at the VT Invitational of 50.68, which was good for 11th place… Swam the lead-off leg of the 200 free relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational in a career-best 50 free time of 21.75.

As A Junior In 2010-11: Won the 100 fly with a career best time of 50.59 at the Virginia Tech Invitational … Netted a career best time in the 200 fly also at the Virginia Tech Invitational touching the wall in 1:52.66 … Set a season best time of 1:45.35 in the 200 free at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational.

As A Sophomore in 2009-10: Finished ninth in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.94 vs. Virginia Tech and Florida State … Earned a season best time of 1:44.25 in the 200 free with a fifth place showing vs. NC State.

As A Freshman In 2008-09: Set career bests in the 200 free (1:42.61) and 500 free (4:46.10) against Emory … Established a career best by touching the wall of the 200 fly in a time of 2:00.84 against UNC-Wilmington and Virginia Tech.

High School: Four-year letterwinner for Coach Julie Ferris … Was a second-team all-state in 2007 and helped lead team to its highest state finish in school history … Won his high school’s team award all four years and was recipient of the Rookie of the Year Award, Coaches Award, Spartan Award and MVP … Holds school records in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free and 100-fly … Was a member of the National Honor Society, Super Honor Roll all four years and the Principal’s List.

Personal: Born Brian Alexander Robbins on Feb. 27, 1990, in Atlanta, Ga. … Son of Rick and Cindy Robbins … Comes from a true Tech family as father played baseball at Georgia Tech from 1977-1980, sister, Stephanie, played volleyball for Tech from 2005-2008, and uncle, Andy Hearn, was on the Tech football team from 1981-1985 … In addition, his other sister, Jennifer, was a swimmer at the University of Texas from 2003-2005 … Great grandfather, Frank Nesser and five of his brothers (also known as the Nesser Brothers) are recognized in the Pro Football Hall of Fame … Mother, aunt and grandfather also attended Georgia Tech … Hobbies include playing the saxophone, watching college football, basketball and baseball … Chose Georgia Tech because of the great education and swimming facility … Plans to major in Management.
