As A Junior In 2012-13: Named the team[apos]s female recipient of the Athletic Achievement Award… Won the 1-meter event three times and was victorious on the 3-meter once during her junior season… Took first in the 1-meter versus College of Charleston, versus Georgia and versus Emory… Also won the 3-meter versus Emory… Her season-best score on the 1-meter board came at the ACC Championship where she posted an eighth-place finish with a score of 300.25… Finished 13th on the platform at the ACCs with a score of 217.00… Took home 11th at the Zone B Diving Championship on the 1-meter, scoring 270.80 points in the finals and posting a two-round total of 536.90.
As A Sophomore In 2011-12: Won the 1-meter competition at four different dual meets — vs. Penn State (268.65), vs. Clemson and Western Kentucky (284.65), vs. Liberty and North Dakota (257.94) and vs. Emory (314.03)… Also won the 3-meter competition versus Liberty and North Dakota with a score of 261.85… Finished seventh at the ACC Championship on the 1-meter board with a score of 276.95, was 22nd on the 3-meter board (247.30) and 14th on the platform with a career-best score of 220.40… Registered an impressive 16th-place finish at the Zone Diving Championship on the 3-meter board with a score of 286.05 score in the prelims and a career-best score of 299.95 in the finals… Her previous career-high on the 3-meter board was a score of 293.30 set earlier in the season in a meet versus Florida State and NC State.
As A Freshman In 2010-11: Posted a career best time in the Platform dive (183.85) at the ACC Championships … Took first place and recorded a career best and score of 309.38 in the 1-meter dive vs. Darton … Took first place in the 1-meter (272.20) and the 3-meter (260.00) vs. WKU and FAU …Placed first in the 1-meter (285.53) and the 3 meter (251.55) vs. Davidson College … Recorded a career best mark in the 3-meter dive of 270.60 at Clemson.
High School: A four-year letterwinner under the direction of Adam Wadie … Captained her team during her senior season … Earned All-American honors in her junior and senior years … Named All-State in her junior and senior years … Set a diving record in the Macomb County Swimming and Diving Meet in 2009 … Also a member of the Key Club and French Club.
Personal: Born Ashley Sydney Hardy on February 12, 1992 … Parents are Robert and Lori Hardy … Has two older siblings, Jeremiah and Jamie … Made the transition from gymnastics to diving in her freshman year of high school … Adam Wadie, her high school coach, has been her biggest influence … Plans to major in Biomedical Engineering.
