TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Due to heavy rain and a tornado watch in western Alabama, today’s championship game of the Hampton Inn Crimson Classic between Georgia Tech (4-5) and #2/2 Alabama (10-0) has been cancelled and will not be made up. Tech went 2-2 in the tournament and defeated New Mexico 6-0 last night to earn a spot in today’s championship game.
The Yellow Jackets will head south to Tampa, Fla., next weekend to participate in the University of South Florida Louisville Slugger Tournament. They will play South Carolina, Hofstra, Wisconsin, Wright State and South Florida in the three-day event. Live stats for all three games will be available at www.ramblinwreck.com.
