April 13, 2010

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A total of six Georgia Tech student-athletes have been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Swimming & Diving teams as announced Tuesday by league commissioner John Swofford.

In all, four men and two women were named to this year’s squad. Senior Ilia Ayzenshtok, juniors Jeffrey Phillips and Matt Tang and freshman Brandon Makinson were selected to the men’s team, while senior’s Hannah Krimm and Agatha Kwasnik made the women’s squad.

For Ayzenshtok, Tang and Kwasnik, this marks the second straight season that they’ve been named to the All-ACC academic squad, while Krimm ends her career at Georgia Tech as a four-time honoree.

All-ACC Academic team members must have earned a 3.0 GPA for the fall semester and maintained a 3.0 for the careers, with selection based on athletic merit.
