Sion Named ACC Male Performer of the Week

ATLANTA – Senior Zeb Sion was named Atlantic Coast Conference Male Co-Performer of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Sion earns the honor for the first time this indoor season.

Sion led the Tech men’s track and field team at the Clemson Invitational last Friday night. The Pocatello, Idaho, native improved on his school record in the men’s shot put with a NCAA Provisional mark of 59’0.75″ to win the event for the Yellow Jackets. < p> The Jackets will travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Meyo Invitational next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4-5.
