THE FLATS – Due to more curveballs from Mother Nature, the schedule for this weekend’s Caravelle Resort’s Baseball at the Beach has been adjusted.
All games on Friday have been cancelled due to expected cold weather. Georgia Tech is now scheduled to play twice on Saturday and once on Sunday. Saturday, Tech battles FIU at 10 a.m., followed by a 2 p.m. matchup versus the host Coastal Carolina. Sunday, the Yellow Jackets battle Albany at 10 a.m.
All three of Tech’s games will be played at Coastal Carolina’s Springs Brooks Stadium and air live on WREK 91.1 FM in Atlanta. You can also access the audio broadcast online at RamblinWreck.com and via the Georgia Tech Gameday App (downloadable from the iTunes Store or Google Play).
The Yellow Jackets are off to a 3-1 start and coming off a 7-4 victory at Georgia Southern on Tuesday night in Statesboro. Reigning ACC Player of the Week freshman Kel Johnson leads the ACC in hits (nine), home runs (three), RBI (nine) and total bases (21).
Tech is home next Wednesday to host Georgia Tech and next weekend versus Indiana State.
