Reimer Stands in 16th Place After Day One in Georgia Tech Invitational

Lauren Reimer stands in 16th place following the first day of competition in the heptathlon at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Reimer, a freshman from New Braunfels, Texas, scored 2543 points, after competing in the 100 meter hurdles, the high jump, shot put and the 200 meter dash.

The heptathlon will complete on Friday, with competitions in the javelin and the 800 meter run. In addition, Friday’s schedule at the Georgia Tech Invitational includes the completion of the decathlon, the javelin, the long jump, the 1500 meter run, the 3000 steeplechase, the 5000 meter run and the 3000 meter run.
