#ProJackets Football Report: Wild Card Weekend

THE FLATS — After a long 18 weeks of the regular season, the 2021 NFL Playoffs are here beginning with Wild Card Weekend.

This year’s playoffs will feature five #ProJackets, including several this weekend — Harrison Butker (Chiefs), Tyler Davis (Packers), Pressley Harvin III (Steelers), Shaq Mason (Patriots) and Darren Waller (Raiders).

Waller’s Las Vegas Raiders will be the first #ProJackets playoff matchup, as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. In addition to being a nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Waller hauled in 55 receptions for 665 yards and two touchdowns despite battling a nagging injury that held him to just 11 games. He surpassed 100 receiving yards twice – 105 yds. vs. Baltimore in Week 1 and 116 yds. vs. the Bengals in Week 11.

Immediately following that game, Jacket Nation can catch veteran offensive lineman Mason and his New England Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills at 8:15. Mason started 15 games for the Pats this season, helping them rank second in the league in rushing touchdowns at 24 and sixth in points scored (27.2/game).

Two #ProJacket kickers will then square off on Sunday night when Harvin’s Steelers will take on Butker’s Chiefs.

Butker was once again brilliant for Kansas City, hitting 25-for-28 on field goals, including a whopping 7-for-9 from beyond 50 yards. He was also 47-for-49 on extra points and boomed 93 kickoffs for 61 touchbacks, averaging 62.9 yards per kick.

On the other side, Harvin had a terrific rookie campaign, booming 70 punts at a 42.6-yard clip, pinning 25 inside the 20-yard line and eight 50+ yard punts.

The Green Bay Packers and Davis will await the outcome of Wild Card Weekend for who they play next week.
