Georgia Tech radio voice Andy Demetra goes one-on-one with Yellow Jackets' senior guard Brandon Alston
A graduate transfer who played two seasons at Lehigh and earned his undergraduate degree in three years. Brandon Alston is set to earn his graduate degree in economics in two years at Georgia Tech. He is the Yellow Jackets’ second-leading scorer this season at 9.6 points per game, having reached double figures in eight games. He owns Tech’s top shooting percentage from the floor for a Yellow Jacket guard (48 percent) and from three-point range for the team (40.9 percent).
He has played in every game over his two seasons on The Flats, and was one of two Jackets to see action in every game of the 2017-18 season. Brandon’s ;late father played football at VMI (2-time all-Southern Conference), and his older brother, Chris, played football at Columbia and Morehouse. He began playing basketball at age 10, participating in an AAU program in Baltimore.
