VIDEO: One-on-One with Josh Okogie

Georgia Tech radio voice Andy Demetra chats with the Minnesota Timberwolves guard

Georgia Tech’s Josh Okogie made a meteoric rise from unheralded high school recruit to becoming the 20th pick in the NBA Draft in the summer of 2018. The 6-4 native of Snellville, Ga., scored over 1,000 points in his two seasons with the Yellow Jackets, earning All-ACC honors as a sophomore after making the ACC All-Freshman team his first year. Along the way, he starred in the Yellow jackets’ wins over such top-25 teams as North Carolina, Florida State, Notre Dame and Miami.

After his sophomore season, Okogie entered the NBA Draft and put forth impressive performance in his workouts with teams and at the NBA Draft Combine. He was selected 20th by Minnesota, and has since become a starter for the Timberwolves and one of the most exciting rookies in the NBA, being selected to play in the Future Stars game during NBA All-Star Weekend.

He came back home for a couple of days after that and sat down with Georgia Tech radio voice Andy Demetra.
