ATLANTA – The 21st-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (15-2) will host the 15th Annual Buzz Classic Softball Tournament, March 2-4, in Woodstock, Ga., at Twin Creek Softball Complex. Twenty-five teams will compete in the tourney and Tech will face Centenary, Indiana State, Lipscomb and New Mexico in pool play.
The five pools consist of five teams and the winners of each pool will advance to Gold Championship bracket play on Sunday. Second-place teams will compete in the Silver bracket and the third-place teams will face off in the Bronze bracket. Game times for bracket play will be 9 a.m. (quarterfinals), 11 a.m. (semifinals) and 1 p.m. (championship).
The Jackets will face New Mexico and Indiana State on Friday at Noon and 2 p.m. Tech will then take on Lipscomb and Centenary on Saturday, before bracket play begins on Sunday.
